Sunday, Week Four

 Hello everyone! Today was a long travel day. We said goodbye to Mullsjö today with some coffee.

We also said goodbye to Örjan and some other friends we made during the trip. 

Halfway into our drive to Stockholm, we stopped for some lunch.

Once in Stockholm, we had some time before dinner, and we decided to go to a Lebanese restaurant.

Today was a little slow, and filled with a lot of van time, but I had fun with my friends. I hope everyone had a good day, and that you get to try new foods sometime!

Saturday, Week Four

Hello everyone, today was my last day at the Folkhögskola. My friend was really sweet and made me some coffee this morning. 

I spent today packing, doing laundry, and finishing any prints I really wanted to do. I took a break for some lunch, also given to me by my friend.

I had some down time while waiting, but I'm fairly frazzled trying to make sure everything turns out okay, so I spent a lot of it just making lists. Dinner was pizza.

I dont have much for today, which is okay, because you all still need to see my final. 

We were tasked with creating five distinct prints in a series, which was whatever we chose it to be. I chose something a little more abstract, as I like encouraging people to think a little deeper when they see my work. My topic was "The Way We Exist In Space." Or, how we live our lives and interact with the world around us for the time we are here. The final photo in this selection is the last photo I took in Sweden. 

I hope you like them! And I hope everyone gets to have an adventure they will remember for a lifetime!

Friday, Week Four

Hello everyone! Today was the last day of school and I did not eat breakfast! I did, however, have my final! I don't have pictures right now, but I do have pictures of our Midsummer celebrations!

I also painted some today, which was a lot of fun, but I have spent over five hours with my friends having our last party of the summer! I will post pictures tomorrow, I promise!! Sorry, but I am having a lot of fun!!

Thursday, Week Four

 Hello everyone! Today was intensive, everyone was working hard to produce their final photos. I knew I'd have a long day ahead of me, so I got a big breakfast!

I have literally spent my whole day in the darkroom. I've made lot's of potential final prints, and a couple just for fun. We also had our last fika today, and I was glad to just sit down and chat with everyone. Lunch was good, I was excited for rice!

After lunch I went right back to the darkroom, and I didn't get out until around 18:00. I've been cleaning up some and preparing to leave since. I'll leave you guys with some photos from today, two are gifts from my friends.

One is my own "for-funsies!" 

I can't wait to show you guys my final lineup, but that will be tomorrow! I hope I come back with good news. Tomorrow is also midsummer's eve, and we are going to have a dinner with Örjan. Finals are upon us, and it certainly feels like we've spent only seconds and months here. I hope you have all had a wonderful start to your summers, and that you find joy in everything you do!

Wednesday, Week Four

 Hello Everyone! Today was another long day of travel started with some breakfast. I thought I got some plain yoghurt, but it tasted like cheese for some reason so that was not a pleasant surprise to start my morning. 

Lunch was a sandwich from a gas station, and every time I see the logo I think of the game Cyberpunk. 

We got back to the Fölkhögskola around 15:30, and I opted out of dinner (once again, don't come after me, Mom). I was present for a short thunderstorm though, and I loved every second. I ran around in the rain for a bit (without the lightning, of course). I also spent a lot of time in the darkroom developing three films and cleaning up some other prints before I'm finishing my series tomorrow. There are some good prospective prints that I can see, so I'm excited to make contacts and check them out!

Tuesday, Week Four

 Hello everyone, today was a long day, but I had a lot of fun! I had some more pancakes for breakfast!

We visited four museums today, The National Gallery of Oslo, Akershus Castle, The Munch Museum, and the Oslo Reptile Park. We had a full bracket of various locations, but it made everything diverse and fun! I saw more Vigeland in the National gallery, which was fun!

Between the castle and the Munch museum, we stopped at an Oslo street food court. These are enclosed areas with a lot of various street food stalls. I had some thai food!

The Munch museum had this very cool room for relaxing that I really enjoyed!

The reptile park was a fun finish to our museums in Oslo, and I got to meet Bob.

The students went out to Neo Tokyo to nap some snacks before we headed off to dinner at another street food court. I had some empanadas and they really reminded me of my aunt!

Afterwards, we took a dubious staircase (don't look, Mom) to a rooftop view of some really cool graffiti! 

We visited the bar nearby, and now
we are back in the hotel ready to sleep before traveling back to Mullsjö tomorrow! I hope everyone had a good day and that you all find something small to appreciate in your life!
